Vinci Bass Guitar
I am looking for Mellow sounding Bass Guitar strings. What is your recommendation?
I currently have Vinci 717 on my bass and Love them. The only problem is I am having a hard time finding them here in the USA.
ALL brand new strings will sound mega bright and warm. You just have to “play” it out of them. If you stretch your strings when you string your bass it will help knock some of that brightness out of them.
There ways to mellow out a set of new strings: boiling them, putting them in the dishwasher, putting them in one of those supersonic jewelry cleaners…………………………….I recommend the boiling or the jewelry cleaner. You can also get strings with coatings that helps to mellow out your tone a bit too.
