What's the difference between a vibrato and a trill on guitar?
Vibrato is a waver in one note, and you get it by shaking your hand (or by shaking the entire guitar). A trill is a rapid back-and-forth from one note to the next higher note; you get it by hitting the first note and then doing hammer-on/pull-off as fast as you can to the next note.
So hard to explain--let's try another way. For vibrato, you don't change frets, you just move your hand so that your finger wavers slightly while on one fret. For trills, you do change frets.
Did this help? Hope so...
