Am I a bad mommy? Has anyone else felt this way?
We adopted a shelter dog a few months ago and it's been a kinda roller coaster with her, sometimes it's hard to like her. She's really high strung and intense. Well, two weeks ago, we adopted another dog and I immediately fell in love with her. I really adore her but I feel like I should love both dogs equally. Dont get me wrong, I do love my first dog, but there doesn't seem to be the connection there that I had with my new pup. Anyone else experience something like this? Am I an awful person to feel this way?
I know what you mean, I've had the same thing happen to my sister, she adopted 2 boxers, one is hyper as hell the other is calm 'for a boxer'. She is very loving with the calm one and ignores the other pretty much. I get onto her for doing that because it isn't right.. The hyper boxer is just getting worse..
You see, the thing is, you took in a dog from a shelter, maybe saving its life, but with that comes the responsibility of caring for that dog, If you had a child who was hyper and a brat, then you had another that just chilled and was mommy's little angel, what would happen if you favored one child over the other? Dogs can be the jealous just like people, and if an attention starved dog isn't given the attention you give the other dog alot of bad things could happen... that's just worst case scenario, you are doing a great thing by rescuing dogs, just be patient and work with the hyper one, I promise you she will calm down, or enroll her in dog training, a good one! Trust me, she will be a brand new dog in no time if you do. Good luck!! BTW, You are not an awful person at all for feeling that way, you are a great person for taking in and caring for shelter dogs, if we all did that, then less dogs would be killed and stupid breeders would go out of business!

Different Types of Thrust Bearings – A Closer Look
There are many different types of thrust bearings for example thrust ball bearings, angular contact thrust ball bearings, cylindrical roller thrust bearings, needle roller thrust bearings, tapered roller thrust bearings, and spherical roller thrust bearings. All are of the same nature in function but differ slightly in how they work and what applications they are best suited to. Here is a closer look at some of these in more detail:
Thrust ball bearings – what does a thrust ball bearing look like? A thrust ball bearing has two chrome washers which is the ring and a ball usually made out of brass in the middle, sometimes they also have radius ball grooves in the rings. Even within the category of thrust ball bearing there are different types for example single direction and double direction thrust ball bearings. Single direction bearings can handle a high axial load in one single direction and must not be subjected to a radial load, the double direction bearing again must not have a radial load but the axial load can be shifted from one direction to the other.
Angular contact thrust ball bearings – sounds complicated doesn’t it? Well it’s actually just a slight variation to any other thrust bearing. Again with this type of bearing there are two options of a single direction or double direction depending on the job at hand. They are usually found in drilling rigs and other uses that require a heavy axial load. Angular contact thrust ball bearings differ to that of many thrust bearings in that they can accommodate for heavy radial loads as well as axial and they are able to operate at high speeds.
Spherical roller thrust bearings – one of the great things about this type of thrust bearing is that it can re-align itself. This is a huge advantage as bearings go because it is not sensitive to shaft deflection and misalignment of the shaft, it will realign itself and carry on working as normal. In spherical roller thrust bearings the load is transmitted from one raceway to the other at an angle to the bearing axis. These types of thrust bearings can be found in applications such as blowout preventers, classifiers, extruders, gearboxes, metal mill work/back-up rolls, pre-heater fans, pumps, and screw conveyors.
