1. Portugal
In a recent survey, holiday villas in Portugal proved to be the most popular destination for self catering golf accommodation. There were many reasons for this, but predominantly there is a good choice of budget airlines to Portugal from almost anyway in Europe. 10) Cyprus
The island of Cyprus lies in the eastern mediterranean close to Turkey, Syria and Lebanon. Cyprus benefits from a Mediterranean climate, with long hot summers and relatively mild winters. The capital is Nicosia, and is located in land but the country is an island and is therefore totally surrounded by water. The most popular coastal regions within Cyprus include villas in Paphos, Limassol, Larnaca and Farmagusta.
