I need to amplify the sound from my laptop computer for a group setting. Can I use a guitar amplifier?
Can I connect my guitar amplifier to my laptop and use as audio output? Is there a reducer needed. The cord obviously does not fit the sound jack in the laptop.
Tammy – You can use a guitar amp, but if the room is not too big why not just use some computer speakers? They will work well for an audience of up to 30 people or so if they are decent speakers.
To connect your laptop to your amp, you will need a 3.5mm to RCA cable and an adapter:

Guitar amps do not usually sound too great for amplifying voice or music, but it should work ok.
