Plastic Wrist Bands

Custom plastic wrist bands have been in vogue since they were released in 2004. They became very popular when Lance Armstrong Foundation created its own yellow custom plastic wrist band to raise funds to support cancer research. Initially, these custom 24 hour wristbands were intended to be used as a fashion statement, but later they started to be used for causes and campaigns. For instance, black plastic wrist bands were used for mourning, and white were used by people from the World Health Organization.

The Lance Armstrong’s idea of promoting the custom yellow silicone plastic wrist bands to raise funds for his foundation was a worldwide success. This simple yellow plastic wrist band was responsible for the quick popularization of all plastic wrist bands. This also attributed some emotional characteristics to silicone plastic wrist bands since yellow plastic wrist bands represented the difficult moments that Lance lived through to beat testicular cancer. After that, silicone plastic wrist bands were worn for social causes and health campaigns.

Silicone plastic wrist bands are made form a very durable and flexible material that gives these plastic wrist bands the possibility to be customized with many designs and colors. There are three types of plastic wrist bands available online. One is the debossed type that displays the letters of the message engraved into the plastic wrist bands band. The embossed type is opposite to the debossed type since the letters of the message are raised on the plastic wrist bands band. The third type refers to the printed plastic wrist bands.
